The paper, starting from the recent Sicilian regional law no. 32 of 2020, retraces the steps related to the most recent legislation on the subject of beach concessions for touristic and recreational purposes, also in light of the Euro-unitary principles (Bolkestein Directive, in particular) and the consequent interventions of the Commission, which initiated infringement procedures against Italy
